This grouping of paintings is my favorite of this series. And the reason? The turquoise color! I will always lean towards paintings that have turquoise since it is my favorite color.
Highlighting one painting from the bunch: For ‘Water Movement #5″, I was creating with a sense of the tropical, quiet water in a shallow bay. Not stirred up, not frothy, but sedate, mellow and relaxing. I love the layers of tropical blue green hues!
My next series is likely going to feature colors from sea shells, which I’ve collected over the years. At this point, I’m prepping my creativity by pulling out colors from the shells. It is so much fun to pair unlikely colors together. I’m also surprised by the richness and variety of colors found in these simple, found objects. Here’s a sneak peek of my ‘in the studio’ work.
