When I become inspired, I feel as though I could paint with colors for hours and hours. I move into a creative state that feels like complete bliss. That is what I experienced when I created my “Water Movement” Series.
I had primed my creative pump for a few weeks by observing water movement of local brooks. We had many days with ample precipitation, so it was rewarding to watch how the flow of water changed from one day to the next. Some days had lighter rain and the water levels decreased, becoming more calm. Other days had deluges and the water was furiously flowing through its channels.
Here is a quick snapshot of one of the many streams. The water was at a medium height this particular day. And the sun was out – bonus!
Below are three paintings currently available in my Shop. I will post the final three in this series by early next week.
Each painting has its own water rhythm. Some are more gentle like those days when the streams were sedate and other paintings have more energy that speak to the strong power of the water. To see more images of each painting, visit my shop page on Etsy. I have them listed in their own section.
