I’ve been working on this painting for the past week or so. There were a few paintings I had to paint over before I arrived at this one. It’s better to have a strong start instead of spending hours correcting a poor start. A wise college professor told me this, but it’s taken me around 10 years to accept it. Chalk that up to life lessons I chose to learn the hard way!
I’m aiming for relaxing, soothing, something you could put in a baby’s nursery or quiet reading nook. It’s a bit vivid right now, but that’s where they all begin!
It is also a little too pumpkin-orange in the top right. That is just on the photo and not on the actual canvas. I tried to work it out in Photoshop, but it wasn’t having it! Oh well.
I just wanted to share a quick update about what is happening in my studio! Happy Wednesday to you and back to painting for me!
